The resort of La Cassia Golf & Beach surrounds the first class Cabo Negro golf course, located in a beautiful setting on the shores Mediterranean between Tetouan, Marinasmir resort and the Rif Mountains. Cabo Negro Golf Club was designed according to the purest British tradition by Hawtree & Sons. The course was renovated and extended to 18 holes in 1992 by Cabell B. Robinson.

This course is 18 holes of luxury. The front 9 which runs by the seaside is tight with strategic bunkers and mainly straight fairways but the back 9 opens out into full view of the Rif mountains which is truly spectacular and there are some great holes. The great thing is though that there is no one on this course - we spotted about 4 people on the whole round in the middle of August. You have to have a caddy and it helps if you speak french otherwise you're down to hand gestures. The greens are in very good nick and so are the fairways but some of the approaches are very tight, which is a good test. It's a very well kept course and a real hidden gem.
